About Music Together® in the North Lakes
Julia Schultz founded Music Together in the North Lakes to bring the joy and benefits of music-making to families in Central Minnesota. With a Bachelor of Music degree with a concentration in Music Therapy and years of experience creating meaningful musical experiences, Julia has always believed in the powerful role music plays in connection, learning, and development.
As a mom herself, Julia understands how special those everyday moments of singing, dancing, and making music together can be. When she discovered Music Together, she was drawn to its unique approach: a research-based program that recognizes every child as musical and gives children and their grown-ups the opportunity to develop their musicality together through playful, engaging experiences.
After seeing the impact that shared music-making can have on children and families, Julia wanted to bring the Music Together experience to the communities of Central Minnesota. She founded Music Together in the North Lakes with the goal of creating a welcoming place where families can connect, have fun, and build a lifelong relationship with music.
Today, Music Together in the North Lakes offers music, connection and joyful experiences for children together with their parents or cargivers. Classes combine singing, dancing, movement, instrument play, and other musical experiences in an environment designed to nurture children's natural musical development while strengthening the bond between children and their grown-ups.
